🔧The Practical Stuff

What subjects does AveroNova cover?

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Four core STEM subjects in one platform, one subscription. Computer Science is coming after launch.

What grades?

Grades 7 through 9 at launch. We're expanding to grades 10, 11, and 12 after launch.

How much time should my child spend per day?

We recommend at least three sessions per subject per week. Each session takes roughly 40 minutes. Beyond that, it's your call — the platform works around your family's schedule, not the other way around. Some families do one subject per day. Others do two shorter sessions. There's no wrong approach as long as your child is engaging consistently.

What devices does my child need?

A laptop, desktop, or tablet with a modern web browser. We're a web-based platform, not a phone app — that's deliberate. STEM subjects need screen space. Trying to work through a physics problem on a phone is a compromised experience. Your child deserves better than that. Mobile companion apps for checking progress and reviewing upcoming lessons are coming after launch.

Can my child work at their own pace?

Yes. Completely. Sessions can be paused mid-lesson and resumed hours or days later — the platform remembers exactly where they left off. If a concept needs more time, the platform gives it more time. If your child is ready to move faster, it doesn't hold them back. The pace is theirs.

What if my child is ahead of or behind their grade level?

The platform is organised by concepts and prerequisites, not rigid grade levels. If your child is in Grade 8 but has gaps in Grade 7 material, the platform identifies those gaps and addresses them before building on top of them. If your child is ahead, they move into more advanced concepts naturally. The grade label is a guide, not a cage.

Does this replace my entire STEM curriculum?

That's the intention. AveroNova covers Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with enough depth and rigour to be your child's primary STEM curriculum — not a supplement. Whether you choose to use it as your sole STEM resource or alongside other materials is entirely up to you.

📚About the Learning Experience

What if my child hates maths?

They probably don't hate maths. They hate the way maths has been presented to them. When a lesson connects ratios to something your child actually cares about — their favourite recipe, a game they play, a sport they follow — the resistance tends to dissolve. We hear this consistently: the child who "hates maths" often just hasn't seen maths that felt relevant to their life.

Is there a tutor my child can talk to during lessons?

Yes. Every lesson has a built-in tutor available at any time. Your child can ask questions, request a different explanation, or say "I don't understand this part" and get patient, thoughtful guidance. The tutor doesn't just hand over answers — it helps your child think through the problem. And it never judges, never rushes, and never makes your child feel bad for asking.

Can I see what my child is being taught?

Everything. Your parent dashboard shows which lessons your child has completed, how they engaged, what questions they asked the tutor, and how the tutor responded. You can read the actual conversations — not summaries, the real exchanges. Nothing is hidden from you.

What if my child has a learning difference?

We want to be honest here. We haven't specifically designed for particular learning differences like dyslexia or ADHD at this stage. That said, the platform's core design — personalised pacing, multiple ways of explaining the same concept, a patient tutor that adapts to your child's responses, and no time pressure — naturally supports a wide range of learning needs. If your child has a specific learning difference, we'd genuinely welcome your feedback on how the platform works for them. This is an area we care about and want to get right. Reach out to us at hello@averonova.com — your input would directly shape how we improve.

🔒Trust and Privacy

What do you do with my child's data?

Nothing beyond making their education better. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it to train models for other purposes. Your child's learning data exists to personalise their lessons and give you visibility into their progress. That's it.

Is this just an AI chatbot teaching my child?

No. Your child learns through carefully structured lessons built on a curriculum that took three years to develop — informed by research across five national education frameworks. The lessons follow a consistent six-part structure designed by educators. The technology adapts the content to your child's thinking and interests, but the academic foundation, the lesson design, and the quality standards are human decisions, made by people who understand how children learn. If you want the full picture of what's underneath, our curriculum page explains it in detail. How We Built the Curriculum →

Who decides what my child learns?

The curriculum is built on concepts and prerequisites — a structured progression where each idea builds on what came before it. Your child can't skip ahead past material they haven't mastered, because that's how gaps form. Within that structure, the specific examples, explanations, and practice problems are personalised to your child. So the "what" is determined by rigorous curriculum design. The "how" is shaped entirely by your child.

💰Pricing and Commitment

What does it cost?

$49 per month for one child. $119 per month for your whole family — up to four children, each with their own fully personalised experience. Everything is included. No tiers, no add-ons, no features locked behind a higher price.

What's the founding families programme?

We're opening AveroNova to a small group of families this summer — the first parents who'll use the platform, provide honest feedback, and help shape what it becomes. Founding families lock in a lifetime discount: $40 per month for one child, $95 for the family. Same full experience, at a price that never increases. Join the Waitlist →

Do you offer a free trial?

We don't — and here's why. AveroNova is priced to be accessible from day one, and every feature is included from the moment you subscribe. There's nothing held back that a trial would help you evaluate. What we do offer is something better than a trial: AveroNova Spark. It's a set of tools built on the same engine that powers the full platform — completely free, no signup required. Pick your child's grade and subject, and in seconds you'll have expert-level insight you can use with your child tonight. If Spark impresses you, you'll have a clear sense of what the full platform delivers. Try AveroNova Spark →

Can I cancel?

Yes. If AveroNova isn't the right fit for your family, reach out to us at hello@averonova.com and we'll process your refund. No hoops, no retention scripts, no guilt. We'd rather have families who genuinely want to be here than families who feel trapped.

How We're Different

How is this different from what I'm already using?

That depends on what you're using, but here are the most common patterns we hear from parents:

If your current platform delivers the same lesson to every student regardless of who they are — AveroNova doesn't. Half of every lesson is built specifically for your child based on their interests, learning personality, and how they've responded to previous lessons.

If your current curriculum was designed for one country and you're constantly translating it for your own standards — AveroNova natively supports five national frameworks and shows your child grade labels that match your country's expectations.

If your current tools adapt difficulty but not explanation — giving your child an easier question when they get one wrong rather than a different way of understanding the concept — AveroNova adapts everything: the examples, the explanations, the approach, the depth.

If you're stitching together separate platforms for separate subjects — AveroNova covers all four core STEM subjects in one place, and what it learns about your child in one subject informs how it teaches the others.

And if your current platform is the same on day one as it is on day one hundred — AveroNova gets measurably better at teaching your child the longer they use it.
